Hot off the back of the release of their critically acclaimed debut EP The Wolves Back Home, Chapter And Verse have released the bloody new video for The New Breed.
The explosive, melodic style of the East London quartet shine brightly throughout, with the immaculate video production from Lewis Cater (Moose Blood, Nothing But Thieves, Lonely The Brave) only enhancing the overall effect.
The visuals see the band hooked up to wires and tubes, thrashing through the new single in a clinical environment before being engulfed by black blood as Josh Carter’s serrated vocal implores “we’ve gotta have faith in the new breed” – no trouble there based on this performance.

Speaking on the release of their new EP, front man Josh Carter said: ‘When we started doing this we didn’t know if anyone was even going to like it, let alone love it.
‘People have had really different takes on it as well.
‘It’s so cool how one song can evoke so many different feelings in people.
‘It sounds obvious but you don’t think about that kind of thing until you hear it from the listeners.’
Chapter And Verse might seem like fresh faces to the scene but with their critically acclaimed debut EP the quartet were received like veterans of the UK scene. With a raw, energetic twist on the alt-rock genre, Chapter and Verse released their debut single ‘Shelf Life’ in March 2016 and sold out their first ever show in less than a few weeks. Now, with a relentless tour ethic, the quartet are quickly becoming one of the bands to watch this year.
Formed in early 2015, the quartet came together with an immensely diverse taste but a unified vision of creating honest, passionate and hard-hitting tunes. The result is a cocktail of noisy alt-rock that has been likened to the sound of Circa Survive, Crooks and Saosin.
The Wolves Back Home is out now through all usual digital retailers.
