Italy’s Adam Kills Eve have released first single “Autenti(city)” off their upcoming album!

Formed of Federico Bini, Giovanni Riccardo, Oscar Gigli, Francesco Agozzino, and Alessandro Gavazzi, Italian alternative rock group Adam Kills Eve have come back to music scene with brand new sound, dropping their first single ‘Autenti(city)’ off their upcoming album Of Time, (set to be released on 19th October) as well as new music video for the track. You can check out the video below:

Their journey first began in 2006, but 10 years on and the boys are back again with a smashing new album and determined to spread their new sound and have some interesting plans scheduled for the next months including tours in Italy, United Kingdom and Europe.

“Their songs blend raw emotion of an uncompromising sound together with the search for harmonic moments that will find a place in the heart of their audience. The new concept EP « Of Time » delves deep into the contradictions of time perception and the non linearity of its own flow: from the teenage naivety homesickness to the need to not put to much hope in a future that is always too late to come. The truth stays is the middle, into the present.”

Interview: Shikobi talk new EP

Raw and emotive hard rock collective Shikobi, has quickly found success with their unique blend of experimental hard rock, funk and hip-hop.  The group formed in January 2014 with Australian brothers Aaron and Luke Hession writing songs in their Gold Coast home.  Fueled by their intense live show, Shikobi went from a local garage band playing DIY gigs to a successful touring band selling out high-profile venues in less than a year.  The hard rock group also landing a coveted #1 spot on the top 100 countdown on Australia’s famed Triple J Unearthed radio station.  With a twist of fate, Aaron and Luke decided to relocate to Los Angeles where drummer Dylan Hayden and bassist Marco Barrientos, joined the band to complete the lineup in April 2015. Since then, Shikobi has been building a steady following in the US.  Shikobi’s debut EP Pull The Trigger is reminiscent of early Linkin Park, Rage Against The Machine, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The four-track release recorded at the famed London Bridge studios in Seattle, showcases the group’s signature sound of soaring melodic rap and rock vocals with heavy and explosive guitar riffs.  The leading single Here We Go Again commands the listener’s attention with catchy hooks over grungy and gritty instrumentation. Pull The Trigger is a powerful anthem addressing the important issue of gun control and lack of gun laws in the US.  All in all, the EP is hard hitting, energetic and evocative. Pull The Trigger is out now!

Check out Here We Go Again below!

We managed to catch up with the band about the new EP, fans, new music and more!

How proud are you of the debut EP Pull The Trigger?
We couldn’t be happier with our debut EP. We feel that the EP captures the essence of our sound, but also shows all sides of our music – from the funk of “here we go again”, to the harder rock style of “pull the trigger” and “fight to be free”, to the emotive “alive”.
How much work went into the production of the EP?
We spent 1 week in Seattle recording at London Bridge studio with Eric Lilavois. It was very inspiring and motivating to work in a studio with such a rich musical history, so we were happy to put in long days to get the EP done.
How successful has the track Here We Go Again been?
We have received really great feedback from this release. I believe we’re on close to 20 radio stations around the world now, plus countless interviews, articles & reviews. It’s been very flattering!
You’ve been about for over two years now, what has been your best highlight?
Performing on stage is the greatest thing any of us have ever experienced, so I would have to say this in general is the highlight. To choose a single performance is hard, but playing to packed venues like the Whisky A-Go-Go & the Viper Room is definitely hard to beat. Prophets of Rage (Rage Against The Machine, Cypress Hill, Public Enemy – Supergroup) played the Whisky a week before our first show there.. When you’re standing on a stage like that it’s pretty cool to think of those guys and the other musical legends that have stood & performed in that exact place.
How did the band come up with the name Shikobi?
“Shikobi” means a modern day rock warrior. Kind of like Shinobi being an ancient Japanese Warrior.. but new age, rock & rollers!
What is it like working with your brother in the band?
It’s mostly great. Creatively we work so well together, we are equally as passionate about music so we can easily get lost in what we’re doing and lose hours in the studio. He does piss me off sometimes though, I’m sure it goes both ways!
How much does your fans mean to you?
We would write and create music whether there was a fan base or not because it’s what we love to do. But realistically, fans are what make it possible for musicians to continue to spend their time working on and expressing their passion – so fans mean everything to us.
If you could with any artist or band, who would it be and why?
If I could choose a band, it would have to be the “Red Hot Chili Peppers”. Kiedis is Aarons hero, Flea has been a huge influence in Marco’s playing (we believe Marco is basically Flea in a new life form.. even though Flea still exists in his current body.. it’s a strange one), Frusciante has always been one of my favourite guitarists, and Dylan (Shikobi’s drummer) has a lot of similarities in style to Chad Smith.
If it was just me individually, Tom Morello has been my greatest influence, so it would definitely be him.
Will there be a tour for the EP?
We are currently organising a tour through December, at this stage it’s looking like from California all the way across to Texas and everywhere in between. Dates are yet to be finalised and released.
Is the plan to release a full length album next?
We have a lot songs written that we can’t wait to record, and writing new material comes so quickly and easily to us – we want to release every song we ever write! So yes, there is definitely more releases in the future.. but exactly what and when we’re not 100% sure of just yet.

Live Review: Feeder live at the ABC Glasgow 28/09/2016

Once upon a time Feeder were touted as one of the biggest bands in Britain. With arena tours and festival headline performances under their belts, it seemed like everything was falling right into place for the band. Unfortunately though, it all went downhill for a period culminating in a break for the band with frontman Grant Nicholas going away on his own to do some solo work with the future of the band in doubt. However, the band made a triumphant return this year with performances at Isle of Wight festival amongst others and are all set to release their new album All Bright Electric soon. They are also hitting the road on an extensive run of UK comeback shows and judging by the reception the band are greeted to, they were sorely missed.

More of that soon though, as first up are tonights openers, the very promising Reigning Days (8/10) who blast on stage with their garage rock swagger in full force. A lot of bands have had a go at the garage rock tag since the growth of Royal Blood but very few have done it as well as Reigning Days with brilliant songs such as My Demons and Empire showing that they have more than justified their 45 minute support slot and they will have definitely have gained a fair few fans this evening.

Reigning Days Glasgow.jpg

If Reigning Days were the emerging young star, Feeder(9/10) are the returning veterans and they are on fire tonight. Met to a rapturous applause by all of their Scottish fans in the ABC tonight, which is sold out and packed to the rafters. Opening with a couple of new tracks off of the yet to be released All Bright Electric might have meant that it was a slightly slow opening but by the time they dropped Renegade the crowd were ready to party. The early airing of super single Feeling The Moment only seemed to confirm this as the song sparked mass sing-alongs from front to back of the venue with fans old and new roaring every single word right back at the band as loud as they could and it was only to get better.

From here on out it is joyous sing alongs to almost every track with Feeder doing their best to remind the audience how many brilliant songs they have written in their long career. Throwing out anthems such as High, Insomnia and Pushing The Senses mid set is a sign of how truly remarkable the career of the band has been with every single song getting a bigger reaction than the last.

There was more to come however in one of the set highlights Just The Way I’m Feeling. The song was performed immaculately and with all the emotion that the track deserves but it was the crowds rendition of the song afterwards that makes this such a highlight. With the song long finished the crowd continued to sing the chorus with Grant looking visibly shaken by the reaction of the Glasgow faithful. A Truly moving moment.

The highlights were just to keep rolling in after this with Buck Rogers moving the entire venues and presenting one of the biggest sing-alongs you are ever likely to hear. Every word from start to finish is screamed out loud by everyone in the iconic piece that is largely responsible for the growth of Feeder in years gone by. When the band come back on for and encore of Seven Days In The Sun followed by the irresistible Just A Day the crowd are left thinking two things: firstly that they had just seen a brilliant and emotional marathon of a show (17 songs!) and secondly, everyone should be grateful that Feeder are back.

9/10 – Great Performance from returning heroes

Highlights – Just The Way I’m Feeling, Buck Rogers

Tove Lo.jpg

Critically acclaimed, Grammy®-nominated multi-platinum artist Tove Lo will release her long-awaited second album LADY WOOD on October 28th via Polydor Records. LADY WOOD will include cool girl the first new single to drop from Tove Lo.  After less than two weeks since its release, cool girl has reached 14,000,000 streams on Spotify and is approaching Top 20 on the Global Chart.

Premiering worldwide today is the video for cool girl.  The clip was shot on location in Los Angeles by Swedish director Tim Erem (credits: Tove Lo’s Moments; Nick Jonas’ Close featuring Tove Lo; Rihanna’s “Work” featuring Drake; Major Lazer’s “Lean On” with DJ Snake featuring MØ; and more). cool girl is the lead video of a larger short film project for Fairy Dust, chapter one of LADY WOOD(see more info below).

LADY WOOD is the long-awaited successor to Tove Lo’s landmark debut album of 2014, the RIAA platinum Queen Of The Clouds. The album included Habits (Stay High), the career-defining 5x-platinum global #1 hit that introduced her to U.S. and UK audiences, and has surpassed 1 billion Spotify streams; and the double-platinum follow-up, Talking Body (#3 on Billboard Pop Airplay, #12 on the Hot 100).  In addition to Close, Tove Lo has also been the featured artist on tracks by fellow Island artist Coldplay (Fun), Years & Years (Desire), Broods (Freak Of Nature), Flume (Say It), and Alesso (Heroes).

Similar to Queen Of The Clouds, whose tracks were broken into three intimate chapters (‘The Sex,’ ‘The Love,’ ‘The Pain’) – LADY WOOD will be divided into two chapters: Fairy Dust and Fire Fade.  Tove Lo describes them as “the emotional curves I go through when I’m chasing any kind of rush.”

Fairy Dust refers to anticipation, as in the seductive slow-jam Influence (featuring rapper Wiz Khalifa), and the prowling title track, Lady Wood.  Tove Lo compares that anticipation to “when the adrenaline starts to kick in.  It gives you butterflies.  It’s that tingling sensation of sex.”  Fire Fade captures the moments when that thrill starts to wear off, as in the swelling, unguarded Keep It Simple and the cocksure WTF Love Is.  As she said: ‘You feel a little bit uneasy.

‘And you really want to chase that first feeling again.’

LADY WOOD tracklist:
1. “Fairy Dust” (Chapter I)
2. “Influence”
3. “Lady Wood”
4. “True Disaster”
5. “cool girl”
6. “Vibes”
7. “Fire Fade” (Chapter II)
8. “Don’t Talk About It”
9. “Imaginary Friend”
10. “Keep It Simple”
11. “Flashes”
12. “WTF Love Is”

Tove Lo will be supporting Maroon 5 on their six week, 26-city tour of the U.S. and Canada. For exact tour dates checkout her website.
