Though it’s hard to predict what twists and turns this New Year will take, one thing that’s certain is that it will be filled with the funky, hard-rockin’, and soulful sounds of the UK’s Uncle Frank! With their forthcoming Love Lion album due out this March, fans will get yet another small taste of the group whose tracks have been described as having a “lush soul vibe, hip hop and street sounds and some genius songwriting” when they release the Double A-Side Love Lion / Tokyo!

The band, made up of multi-instrumentalists and producers Frank Benbini (also one third of The Fun Lovin’ Criminals) & Naim Cortazzi, the band has garnered National Radio plays from Huey Morgan on BBC6 Music and BBC Radio 2 and A-listed on Regional Radio throughout the UK. Already having made waves in 2016 with features in The Sun, Spindle Magazine, Music-News.com and The Daily Star, Uncle Frank took the last ever CMJ Music Festival by storm in October 2015 at Fat Baby in New York described as ‘The best Band at CMJ without a doubt’ by Spindle Magazine.

Uncle Frank were signed to an unprecedented 3 album deal in 2013 by MITA Records, and their first single STEP INTO MY ROOM was supported by an innovative tour of fans houses, performing concerts in their living rooms. This was featured by BBC 1 Television Evening News which reached an audience of 600,000 viewers.

Taking a more 80’s-esque turn, the synth-rock stylings of Tokyo bring a more pop-driven quality that will keep listeners clapping and singing along until day break!

SHORES OF NULL ANNOUNCE ‘BLACK DRAPES FOR TOMORROW’

unnamed (2).jpg

Rome-based metal band Shores Of Null have announced their second album, Black Drapes For Tomorrow, which will be released via Candlelight / Spinefarm Records on April 14th, 2017.

Following their highly acclaimed debut “Quiescence”, the gloom maestros are back with an album full of wistful-yet-powerful riffs, blackened aggression and epic melancholy-ridden vocals.

Produced by Marco Mastrobuono at Kick Recording Studio (Fleshgod Apocalypse, Hour Of Penance), Black Drapes For Tomorrow is a profoundly dark outing both musically and lyrically, forging a seamless and overflowing blend of genres into a boiling pot of multi-layered sounds.

An intense live schedule in support of this release sees them embarking upon a European tour with Harakiri For The Sky and Sylvaine; they are also set to make several Italian appearances opening for Candlemass, with more shows still to be announced.

The album title leaves no room for misinterpretation; Shores Of Null are back with a burden of gloom and darkness.

RORY INDIANA reveal video for new single ‘Tough Love’

unnamed (1).jpg

Brighton rockers RORY INDIANA have revealed the video for their brand new single ‘Tough Love’, their first new material since 2016’s Ruling Class Crooks EP.

Check out the video for Tough Love, which was originally premiered via Kerrang!, here:

‘We wanted something that gave off a similar feel to our live show,’ the band comment on the music video. ‘Something that represents the performance we put in on the night, and captivates the vibes/feels we try to create live with an audience.

‘Fortunately, we were lucky to work with Dave Neil of WildStaggStudio, who definitely captured the atmospheric performance video we were hoping for.’

Tough Love is Rory Indiana at their best: solid rock hooks, frontman Rory Kaye’s signature vocal structures and an anthemic chorus combine to showcase the band’s impressive craftmanship. The quartet’s 2016 EP Ruling Class Crooks saw high scores across the board (Kerrang KKKK, Rock Sound 7/10, Upset ****) and in their short career the band have made appearances at Leeds Festival, Liverpool Sound City, Y Not, The Great Escape, Truck Festival and 2000trees, as well as countless headline tours and support slots.

IDestroy release double A-side ‘Annie’ and ‘98%’

Bristol’s grrrl rockers IDestroy have revealed a double A-side featuring the brand new singles Annie and 98%.

Fuelled with rock’n’roll swagger and riotous attitude, the gutsy trio are mixing powerful riffs with catchy pop melodies to create an infectious party-punk sound. ‘Annie’ is a short, sharp, feisty number, packed with driving rhythms and rebellious charm, while ‘98%’ ramps up the gears with its energetic guitars and pounding basslines.

This is the first taste of new music from the band since bursting onto the scene in 2016 with their EP Vanity Loves Me, a raw and gritty debut that was a perfect introduction to their edgy-punk style. Showcasing their fierce determination and passion for their craft, it saw them gain support from the likes of Planet Rock, BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio with the title track, Vanity Loves Me, and also second single, State Of The Art.

Since releasing it with a sold-out intimate show at the anarchist bookshop, Hydra in Bristol’s city centre, the band have been gigging relentlessly, igniting stages with their raucous spirit and playing to jam-packed crowds across the UK and Europe.

Alternative metal quartet ANEWRAGE to release new album ‘Life-Related Symptoms’

unnamed.jpg

Introducing Italian alternative metal quartet ANEWRAGE who will release their second studio album Life-Related Symptoms on the 7th April 2017 on Scarlet Records.

‘We consider ourselves more a family than a band. We’ve all know each other since we were kids and we’ve been playing together since we were 12.’ explains Alessandro Ferrarese. ‘ANEWRAGE is just a nickname, a monicker; something we can use to call this group of true friends who believe in the same dream: living with music and putting every drop of energy into it.’

The band previewed ‘Evolution Circle’, a track taken from the forthcoming album release via their YouTube channel and Facebook page to give their fans a taster of what’s to come from the new record. Check that out here below..

In Italy ANEWRAGE have worked very hard to get their name as much coverage as possible. They toured all over Italy and Switzerland, sharing the stage with some incredible bands; Gamma Ray, Freak Kitchen, Dreamshade and DESTRAGE, to mention a few, and in 2015 were SXSW finalists for their ANR album trailer, alongside some huge names like The Lego Movie and Pacific Rim. The band have spent the last year writing Life-Related Symptoms and really took their time to explore their music with this release. They have melted different genres into something new and unexpected, trying not to stick to a precise formula and enjoying music in all its nuances.

Life-Related Symptoms is very different, compared to the bands first offering but has a wide range of metal influences from Alter Bridge to Slipknot. The band never give up exploration and have put a lot of different influences in this album, concentrating on not giving it a precise direction. If you’re looking for rock, alternative metal, electronic music with orchestral arrangements then this is the album for you.

ISOTOPES Punk Rock Baseball Club To Release New Album

unnamed (2).jpg

The Isotopes are back and about to step up to bat in fine form with their new album, ‘1994 World Series Champions’.

‘994 World Series Champions is 10 crushing baseball punk anthems that showcase the Isotopes’ vast baseball acumen and sharp clubhouse wit. Throughout the record, the band makes reference to many classic moments such as Hall Of Famer George Brett shitting his pants in the lobby of the Bellagio in Las Vegas, Jose Canseco blowing his own finger off while cleaning his pistol, and the time George Constanza steamrolled Bette Midler at home plate, sending her to the hospital.

The new album sees the Isotopes link up with Destiny Records in the UK and Europe, along with long-term teammates, Stomp Records in Canada/US.

Speaking on the new partnership, Jacho, label manager of Destiny Records said, ‘I’m super excited to have the Isotopes join us on Destiny Records.

‘The new album is fantastic – In fact, it’s the best Ramones-esque punk rock experience I’ve had in the last 10 years! Perfect songs and huge amounts of fun.’

Frontman, Evan October followed up with, “We never knew Europe was such a huge baseball punk town. Turns out we feel right at home over there. It’s a real honour to join an organization like Destiny Records and we just wanna go out there and play hard every night and hopefully have another big season.”

1994 World Series Champions was recorded at Atlantis Sound by Jeremy Patch. Mastered by Stu McKillop.

The band are set to tour Mainland Europe extensively this Spring, commencing on 30.03.17, with dates throughout Germany, Switzerland, Spain, France, Italy and the Netherlands.

With releases on Stomp Records, Red Scare Industries and Shake! Records previously, the Isotopes have pioneered the baseball punk movement, and cultivated a faithful legion of baseball punx worldwide with their gritty, no-bargain brand of juice-injected buzz-saw pop punk.

Truly operating like a punk rock all-star team, the Isotopes have seen over 40 players come through their ranks, including members of the Real McKenzies, Exploding F**k Dolls, Vibrators, DOA, Nervous Talk, and Dee Cracks, none of whom have played every show.

The club’s show-must-go-on ethos was famously put to action during a 2013 US tour, when singer, Evan October was detained at the US border and refused entry to the United States. Acting quickly, the ‘topes reshuffled the line-up and guitarist Dallas Duststorm stepped in on lead vocals.

‘Nobody even f*****g noticed’ recalls Duststorm, nearly five years later.

Subsequently, October and Duststorm were slapped with 5-year bans from entering the USA – but instead of hitting the showers, the club took a season to rebuild, and focus on dominating their home turf in Canada. Buoyed back into contention by signing to Stomp Records, the original bad boys of summer released their critically acclaimed, debut LP, Nuclear Strikezone, which features  – amidst a barrage of hits – a cameo appearance by hall-of-fame ringer, Blag Dahlia of the Dwarves.

For those keeping score at home, the ‘Topes have shared the stage with some of the stiffest competition in the game such as: CJ Ramone, Pennywise, Off With Their Heads, ToyGuitar, Face To Face, The Real McKenzies, The Queers, Hanson Brothers, Zeroes, The Methadones, Teenage Bottlerocket, Chixdiggit, Swingin’ Utters, Gob, Agent Orange, Richie Ramone. 9/10 opponents agree  – the ‘Topes are a force to be feared.

Merrick, NY (February, 2017) — Having recently released his brand new solo debut single Dreams at the end of 2016, Singer/Songwriter and Producer Jesse Eplan has dropped the brand new video for the track co-starring The Frankel Sisters’ own Lianne Frankel. Discovering a knack for music at the tender age of 7 and polishing his immaculate voice playing in local bands throughout Long Island, the young star is showing not only has powers as both an artist and producer, but a charming playboy in the video produced by D-City Studios.

Jesse Eplan’s music consists of genres anywhere from hip-hop to pop and R&B. Being able to blend them in a unique way and make it his own has come from years of immersing himself in music. Having first heard Led Zeppelin, ACDC, The Beatles and many of the world’s top music revolutionaries, this influenced him to start playing any instrument he could get his hands on, and he later began performing in bands as a lead singer, drummer and lead guitar player.

With Dreams, not only is his production knowledge easily visible–with a smooth yet soulful Pop/R&B vibe set to a hallucinatory backbeat–but his range and penetrating voice immediately comes to the forefront. As Jesse Eplan continues to thrive by making songs and collaborating with new and like-minded artists, his music is sure to speak volumes as it inspires others as much as it does himself.
